Green Build: Commercial Addition
Construction starts Fall 09
A fourth-generation HVAC and oil company contacted Native Structures to build an addition designed to be healthier for employees and the environment. By taking advantage of the southern exposure, the designer has worked to create a space that will maximize available daylight and reduce the buildings daily energy needs. An active solar array is being considered to produce electricity for the building. As part of the water conservation plan, a cistern will be incorporated to collect rain from the various operating facilities. The collected gray water will be used for cleaning company vehicles and property maintenance.
