LEED certification

Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) represents the collaboration of hundreds of architects, engineers, scientists, and builders. It sets the nationally recognized benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of green homes and buildings.

As a voluntary certification program, LEED sets a rating system for key areas, including water conservation, site selection, energy efficiency, materials, indoor-air quality, and design innovation. The rating gives owners confidence that their home is built to the highest levels of sustainability, quality, and performance.

Think of a LEED rating as a nutrition label for a home, but instead of measuring complex carbs and calories per serving, it measures the level of green.

Native Structures strives to incorporate the sustainability standards established by the USGBC in every project, even if it's not being submitted for LEED certification. We do this because we believe, as so many other architects, engineers, scientists, and builders do, that it is the universal standard for building responsibly and giving back to the planet.
