Building your home
Our gifted engineers and construction crews take great care to ensure that each home is created with an exceptional eye for detail, crafted of the best materials, and built to meet the highest standards.
Once drawings have been completed, our expert engineers take over. All of our frames are cut, fitted, and finished in an offsite facility to ensure quality control and to maximize efficiency. This part of the process usually takes about eight weeks to complete. We cut the individual frames with expert precision by using state-of-the-art technology. When necessary, we also cut curved braces, chamfers, and joinery by hand to maintain the integrity
of the design details.
Our timber homes are crafted from a choice of dense woods, including Douglas Fir, Hemlock Spruce, Eastern White Pine, Western Red Cedar, and White Oak. As a green builder, we are also big proponents of using reclaimed timber and/or FSC-certified wood.
Our teams go to great lengths to practice sustainable building practices on and off the job site, right down to using the remaining sawdust to heat the warehouse where frames are cut.
Completed frames are shipped anywhere in the country as efficiently as possible, using as few trucks as necessary, to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum. Once they arrive at the job site, either our engineers and construction crew get to work, or the general contractor provides the team to raise the frame. And if we're also using our Smart Shell insulation system, we'll be on-hand to install that as well once the frame is up.
