Building process

Ideally, a green home creates more usable energy than it consumes. That said, most of us aren't looking to live off the grid completely...at least not yet. So the question is: How do we find a compromise that allows us to build in shades of green?

At Native Structures, we start with a conversation. We take the time to get to know our clients, their needs, and their goals by asking lots of questions. Do they want to build a new home or renovate an existing home? Are they looking for LEED certification? Do they already have an architect? What's their budget and level of green commitment? Throughout the process, we focus on communication, collaboration, and education to make sure we're on the same page as our clients.

We take a whole-building approach with every project, which means we look at a home's entire lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and renovation. This is so important to us because we aren't interested in building homes for the short term; we want to build homes that leave a sustainable legacy for generations to come.
