Behind the design
While our passion for green building and for creating beautiful timber frame homes runs deep, our dedication to customer service runs even deeper. Whether a client already has a set of drawings or they want to work with our talented team from start to finish, Native Structures offers a range of services to meet their individual needs.
We believe that collaboration is one of the most important pieces of the process, which is why we spend so much time getting to know our clients and their vision for their home.
Our designers take a holistic approach with every timber frame project, taking into consideration both the characteristics of the structure and the land surrounding it.
We incorporate shades of green wherever we can, from the materials we suggest to the amount of natural light we include in the design. Our custom and preplanned drawings include elevations, cross-section details, floor plans, foundation plans, and framing plans.
Depending on how complex the drawings are and the number of changes made along the way, the design process can take anywhere from one to six months. If a client already has plans from an independent architect, we'll simply work with the existing plans to create timber frame drawings that will be used in the cutting process.
